Fran Kitson
Yoga Teacher. Studio Owner.
I set up Scarborough Yoga Space March 2022 after leaving a career in Marketing.
I have practised yoga for as long as I can remember but more seriously over the last 15 years.
I can be both very lazy and very active, very stressed or very calm. Maybe this is why I LOVE yoga, in all it's different forms, style and techniques - because it can help you embody and process life.
I live in Scarborough with my husband Sam, my two teenage girls, two dogs and four guinea pigs.
I went to school in Scarborough then to Newcastle University, completing an MA in Business which led to working in the food industry. After having children I worked for a local charity before I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2020 with YogaCampus. Since then I have continued training with lots of fabulous teachers in Menopause Yoga, Somatics, Yin, healthy spines, respiratory health, restorative yoga; and I am about to complete Pilates Teacher Training in November 2025. My classes have plenty of movement, usually quite gentle, often flowing always breath-led, with a focus on moving towards inner stillness and awareness.

Sarah Jane
Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
I am Sarah Jane and I own The Healing Jay [www.healingjay.co.uk], where I offer a range of complementary and holistic services and I offer Kundalini Yoga classes. I have been practising Kundalini Yoga for well over 10 years now. My journey with Kundalini Yoga has completely and utterly transformed my life. I am now 100% blessed to be in a position to be able to share and teach Kundalini Yoga. It is my passion. In 2021; I answered a strong calling and trained with Maya Fiennes. Kundalini translates as “the coiled one”. Our Kundalini energy lays often dormant in our root chakra, awaiting to be awakened! I absolutely adore teaching Kundalini Yoga. It is my dharma, my passion and my joy. I hold a safe space, for you to work through your own barriers, whatever they may be. My take is one from a place of fun, colour and happiness. My aim is to let you find your light, so that it shines through any darkness.

Darryl Rolandson
Yoga Teacher.
I'm a 250hr qualified yoga instructor and a level 3 personal trainer.
My personal story has moved from depression and addiction to recovery and optimism.
That has all been thanks to incorporating yoga and physical activity into my life, and the support of my family.
My goal now is to spread and share these practices with as many people as possible. To create a space and community to help others moving through the struggles of their own life.
I'd say my teaching style combines power with compassion. Allowing the practitioner to meet and surpass what they thought there own limits were. To feel into the growth and potential they have inside.

Nicol Rogers.
Children's Yoga Teacher.
I’m Nicol…
Experienced primary school teacher, wife to Scott, dog-mum to Archie and the face behind GROWyoga ~ yoga and mindfulness for kids.
My first experience with yoga was a one-on-one session with a beautiful teacher called Tatiana, back on a volunteering trip to South Africa in 2012. I soon took up regular practice back at home, reaping the benefits both physically and mentally.
As a teacher of little people, I know first hand the effects of living in a hectic modern world and the importance of supporting children’s mental well-being. I decided to seek training for teaching yoga to children in 2016 so that I could implement yoga into the school curriculum. I received my certification for teaching 2-11 year olds with Go Yoga in Harrogate.
Two years ago I set up children’s yoga sessions in Scarborough. My aim at GROWyoga is to provide children with a fun and nurturing space to learn valuable life tools that can bring a sense of calm and stillness to their lives. We do this by bringing the breath and movement together to develop healthy, happy young minds.
You can find me teaching monthly kids classes at Scarborough Yoga Space and follow on social media for various local events

Anja Davison
Breathwork Teacher.
Hi, I’m Anja, a qualified Person-Centred CfD therapist (since 2015), Reiki healer, and breathwork guide. My passion is supporting people to untangle the mind, release what feels stuck in the body, and reconnect with their natural flow of energy.
In 2023, I began my own healing journey and joined Scarborough Yoga Space, where I fell in love with the peace and stillness that yoga brings. From there, I discovered breathwork, a practice that completely transformed my life. It taught me how to release deeply held emotion, to connect more fully with myself, and find a sense of strength and freedom I didn’t know was possible.
This journey then led me to Reiki and, ultimately, to founding Ethel, Tea & Therapy, a space dedicated to healing the mind, body, and soul. You can find out more at www.teaandtherapy.co.uk.
Outside of my practice, I find joy in nature, gazing at the moon, spending time by the ocean, and being with my family.
